Car journeys, without the climbing about
Clips your dog's harness to the seatbelt buckle in a second.
Left loose, most dogs treat a car as somewhere to wander. Between the seats, into the footwell, over to the window and back again.
How it works
One end goes into the seatbelt buckle like any other belt, the other clips onto their harness. They can sit up, turn round and lie down. They just can't roam, which makes for a calmer journey all round.
Why it's useful
Fits any standard seatbelt buckle
Adjusts from 50 to 75cm
Reflective bungee option
Works with any body harness

Full details
Car journeys are a lot calmer when your dog has somewhere to be.
This is a simple nylon tether. One end clips into the seatbelt buckle like any other belt, the other onto your dog's harness. They can still sit up, turn round and settle down, they just can't wander between the seats or end up in the footwell. Rule 57 of the Highway Code asks for dogs to be suitably restrained in a car, and this is about the easiest way to do it.
Two styles
- Plain - flat nylon webbing with a metal seatbelt tongue and a swivel clip. Ten colours.
- Reflective bungee - the same fitting, with reflective stitching along the strap and an elastic section that takes the snatch out of a sudden stop. Eight colours.
Three more are listed as Reflective 1, 2 and 3. Our supplier hasn't sent us photographs of those, so we honestly can't tell you what colour they are. Pick one of the named options if that matters to you.
Good to know
- Nylon webbing, 2.5cm wide
- Adjusts from 50 to 75cm
- Fits a standard seatbelt buckle
- Swivel clip at the harness end
- Suits dogs and cats
Always clip it to a well-fitted body harness, never a collar. It is there to stop your dog moving around the car. It isn't a crash-tested restraint, and we'd rather say that plainly.
Care
Wipe clean with a damp cloth and let it air dry.
