Review Policy

We are a small independent UK shop and we would rather show you nothing than show you something we made up. This policy explains how we handle reviews.

Genuine reviews only

We publish reviews written by real people. We do not write reviews ourselves, we do not buy them, and we do not publish invented testimonials or made-up customer numbers.

We currently show no reviews

Maxsixi Pets is new. Rather than fill our product pages with reviews collected somewhere else, we show none at all until we have genuine ones from our own customers. If you see a star rating or a review on this site, it is real.

Supplier and marketplace reviews

If in future we show reviews that were originally collected by a supplier or a third-party marketplace, we will say so clearly next to those reviews. Reviews of that kind do not necessarily come from customers who bought from Maxsixi Pets, and we will never present them as verified Maxsixi Pets purchases.

Verified Maxsixi Pets reviews

Where a review is marked as verified, it was left by someone we can match to an order placed with us.

How we moderate

We check reviews before publishing them only to remove content that is abusive, unlawful, off-topic or obviously fake. We do not edit the substance of a review and we do not change its rating.

We do not hide criticism

We never remove or suppress a review because it is negative or unflattering to us. Critical reviews stay published alongside positive ones. A range of opinions is more useful to you than a wall of five stars.

Incentivised reviews

If we ever offer anything in return for a review — a discount, a free product, a prize draw entry — that review will be clearly labelled as incentivised, and the incentive will never depend on the review being positive.

Reporting a review

If you believe a review on our site is not genuine, email info@maxsixipets.com and we will investigate and remove it if we agree.
